I am getting more active and like to move about, much to the 'fear' of everyone at home. So, in order to 'control' me, I am 'dumped' into this yellow Tweety Bird Play Pen so that I don't 'crawl away'. At first I was a bit scared of this new 'toy' but as time goes by, I began to enjoy being in it. To keep me company, there are my soft toy friends and musical toys to cheer me up. It is more wobbly than the cot but it gives me a chance to swing about too.

My toy friends Winnie and Snakey
These are my Daddy's toys which he brought back from the old house.. and they are now ... MINE! There were several of them, including Winnie the Pooh, Snakey, a big cat and fish, an elephant from Thailand and many small little bears. They stay with me either in the cot or in the playpen. Although I have less space to move around now, I love their company. Too bad they cannot talk to me.

My First Prize
This is the prize that I won during the BH's Christmas Celebration. It's called 'Treasure Hunt' where we were given an item to find and whoever can find it will win a prize. I was a sure-winner when the item was a 'Hat/Cap'... at that time, only I was wearing a cap so I happily 'walked away' with this little prize. When I opened it, it was a stationery set in a Christmas boot. Will keep it until I go to school.

I am FIVE months old today
How time flies! I am 5 months old today and weigh 7.5kg already. Daddy and Mummy brought me to MacDonald's @ West Coast for breakfast. I only look while they eat! :< ... then we went to the park for a stroll... but I fell asleep in Mummy's arm and Daddy just shook his head (everytime we go to the park, I sure fall asleep)... In the evening, I was brought down to the Pool for a swim. This is the first time with Daddy's company so I was very excited and really want to show him that I am a brave boy not afraid of water. This is also the first time I went to the pool in my new 'botak' look. Incidentally, the Heinz cereal that Mum bought for my 4th month birthday is finishing soon, so she bought a brand new packet of 'Brown rice' for me. Daddy says brown rice makes my bones stronger and I can run faster... talking about that... I am learning to crawl real fast (though the method not very right)... I use my buttocks and legs instead of my hands.. (can you imagine how funny it looks?)

Botak
This afternoon, Mummy and Auntie Nelia brought me to the Pro Trim Hair Salon @ West Mall for a hair-cut. Mummy wanted to delay but Daddy sms Mummy to say 'CUT TODAY'. Mummy no choice but have to bring me in to Hairstylist Ann. Auntie Nelia carried me while Mummy video film me (so that Daddy can watch after work). The express cut lasted less than 10min and Mummy kept my hair (Daddy want to use it to make a brush???) Anyway, I was very obedient and co-operative during the entire session and won several praises. I felt so 'light' after the shave and while I was changing into my new romper, some aunties who saw me commented that I am very cute... like a little monk! When I saw myself in the mirror, I almost cannot recognise myself!
My 1st Morning Swimming
I had always been admiring the pool from my window but it had been raining everyday and I cannot go down to the pool. Last week, I went down once but it was raining so heavily that mummy had to pull me out after just 2 minutes. Today, we prayed harder for the rain not to come (but it came anyway, though much later). At 8.30am,Mummy and Auntie Nelia dressed me up in my swimming trunk and brought me to the Baby Pool below. Hey, I was very cool and didn't cry at all. Except for a second when my tiny feet first touched the water. After that, it was a breeze... I feel so comfortable and secure in my float and waddled around in the water. Of course it helps that mummy is not too far away and my head is up and not wet. Just a pity that there wasn't any bikini gals around for me to admire. I stayed in water for a long while (more than 20 min) before mummy pull me out, when I'm starting to feel a bit cold. I enjoyed it and hope that Daddy will be the next to bring me for a swim.

My 1st Training Cup / Spout
Today I was given my first training cup. It didn't take me long to learn how to hold it with both my hands and drink from it. From today onwards, I will be drinking plain water from this blue little spout / training cup. I feel so proud that I can hold it myself. Today I was a good boy. Mummy fed me with 2 teaspoon of cereal and I finished them all and mummy was very happy. After lunch, we went to Auntie Wendy's home and saw Thaddeus as well. He is very cute and can walk very fast. He gave me a hi-5 and an X'mas present too.

Excursion to the North
Today is an eventful day for me. I spent almost a whole day at the North. First, I visited Auntie Irene, Cousin Hei Kern and Hei Mern at North Oak. They gave me a doggy bone rainbow coloured pillow and I love my new colourful toy! So huggable. Hei Mern dressed me up with lots of cute little hair accessories and take lots of pictures. Actually I don't know what's happening... I just felt that my hair is being meddled with but when the camera is on me, I smiled... They also brought me to the fountain and swimming pool. Then we went to Sun Plaza for lunch and I visited the library for a while. During lunch, they were all eating the delicious chicken rice while I just looked on. How I wish I can eat too! Thank goodness, Mummy let me sip some soup! After Lunch, we went to Hei Mern's school (Canberra Primary) to exchange a T-shirt. Then we proceeded to Grandma's House at Sembawang. I saw kaka Wati and she's happy to see me too! By then I had my stools and changed my diapers. Along the way, Auntie Irene showed Mummy and Auntie Nelia how to use water to clean my buttocks after each stooling session. It's quite refreshing leh! As if on shopping spree, Auntie Irene also gave me a set of Alpahebet softmat which is as old as Hei Kern (14 years to be exact). Great, I can crawl on it as the floor is too hard and the mattress is too soft. The mat is just RIGHT! Also, there were several children books that Mummy got from Auntie Irene too. As it's getting late. we bade farewell to them and went to Auntie Moo Shih's home for a visit. She's going to have another baby boy in Feb and I look forward to have a new friend to play with. By the time I was there, I was already too tired and slump down on the mattress and doze off ....ZZZZZ (I can sleep everywhere when I am dead-tired)...
